obtaining maximum burn time

BURN DURATION: The first time you burn your container candle you should allow it to form a complete pool of melted wax across the surface, extending to ALL edges of the container. This can take 2+ hours depending on the size of your vessel. Wax has a muscle memory, so on subsequent lightings, the wax pool will struggle to go beyond the circumference of the previous burn.

Let the candle completely cool before lighting it again. A container candle can take about two hours to completely cool down.

TRIM WICK: Always trim your wick to 1/4 inch (5mm). The longer a candle wick, the bigger the flame and the faster it will burn. Make sure to trim in between each use after the candle has completely cooled. There are wick trimmers available specifically for candles and a scissor or nail clipper also works well.

PUTTING YOUR CANDLE OUT: When you blow out a flame it creates and spreads black ash particles that get stuck in the wax. It can also cause the melted wax to disburse unevenly (causing an uneven burn) or spatter out of the container. A candle snuffer is the perfect solution AND it even looks cute sitting next to your candle on the coffee table :)

When your candle is not burning, a lid on your container helps keep out dust and dirt.
